48 x 36 inches. Light-influenced poster. Ready to preserve framed and displayed under different lights, especially black light.
Authentic real deal vintage. Looks like it got taken off the wall in the 1970s. Perfectly aged time capsule of the guitar master.
Seller is the second owner, bought from the original owner (RIP) in early 1990s. I knew who originally bought this poster when he was a teenager in the late 1960s, and I bought it from him. Rolled and stored for over 25 years.
Avoid and be very aware of reproduction bootlegs and fakes of any of the vintage classic posters out there. For example, be suspicious of other sellers who offer a "poster in excellent condition - only taken out of the original box to photograph." Rolled posters don't come in a box. Unopened originals are rolled and sealed in a plastic sleeve that yellows and gets brittle with age, just like the paper does. No one is going to open a new sealed poster from 1968 just to photograph it. If you break the seal, you ruin the sealed mint condition. And if you remove the original sleeve, good luck not ruining it while getting it off or back on. Also, some do not have the same text or any at the bottom, or have correct text but printed on newer paper. Pinholes and a couple of tears doesn't make it original. This poster is shown in the condition and aging with yellowing of the paper and old tape. Most real ones show wear of use. If you know what you are looking at, then you know what is authentic; not some overpriced reprint or some 50+ y/o perfect Hendrix poster for 0 that is perpetually for sale. This poster is usually above 0, or over K if "excellent." Authenticity vs. price vs. condition vs. availability vs. collectability.
