Allegro EZ Air welding PAPR (powered air-purifying respirator) systems filter particulates from ambient air to provide workers with safe, breathable air. A darkened lens protects workers eyes and vision and filters bright lights to allow workers to see weld lines more clearly. The hard-sided helmet protects workers from incidental bumps. PAPRs have a belt-mounted blower unit that passes ambient air through a filter before sending it to the headgear. They allow workers to move freely and unrestricted because the filter and power source are worn on the body. Welding PAPRs are used for a range of applications, including MIG and TIG welding, plasma cutting, and grinding.
