This manual came from the recent estate liquidation for Major General Richard A. Kuci, USMC. MG Kuci served in the USMC from 1950-1984. During this time MG Kuci was awarded the
Silver Star Medal (two awards); the Legion of Merit (two awards); the Distinguished Flying Cross (two awards);  the Meritorious Service Medal; 30 air medals (610 combat flight missions in Southeast Asia during Vietnam War); the Purple Heart; the Presidential Service Badge; Joint Chiefs of Staff Service Badge; and the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry.
In 1968 he was assigned to Marine Helicopter Squadron One (HMX-1), was designated the Presidential Helicopter Pilot by the White House and served as President Nixon’s helicopter pilot around the world. From 1970-1972 MG Kuci was the commanding officer for HMX-1 & flew President Nixon on 168 trips.
