This date is very popular among collectors as it is commonly collected among type collectors since it is the first year of issue for the series. It holds a massive mintage of 8,236,000. Of this huge mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 20,000 have survived in all grades today. This coin is one of only 118 graded Mint State 61 by NGC.
